Hi!
I realise that this is a little late but I'm thinking of running a monthly game at AGS, if this is ok, and was looking for probably two players. I believe Tom and Sarah have already expressed interest in playing.
The games I'm considering are as follows:
Star Wars (D6)
Legend of the Five Rings (Third Edition)
Play Yourself
I am guessing most people are familiar with the Star Wars setting and, as such, I will not go into any detail on the game.
Legend of the Five Rings is a game based in quasi-feudal Japan with extra magic, spirits, and demons. You play Samurai or Shugenja associated with one of the Great Clans.
Play Yourself is a homebrew game that I was introduced to through a friend and is, I think, one of the more interesting games I've played. The idea is pretty much explained in the title, you play yourself, albeit with some twists and the like. There are no character sheets for the players, so it would be the quickest to start up, and the game mechanic is fairly simple as well. However this would also be the game I would need the most information for, but I can talk about that on the day.
Hmm...having typed all this, I think I would prefer Play yourself. But anyways, feel free to poke me if you have any questions and the like. I will be trolling the boards today and will be heading up to Canterbury tomorrow morning
Regards,
Jon |

I'm up for any of the above, I have played L5R before, but have no real preference. Let me know which meetings you will run them at.

| I can't normally show up for regular games but I'm intrigued by "play yourself". Any chance of a Saturday one off? |

Ooooh! I'd be interested in L5R and Play Yourself! (Sadly not a Star Wars fan :/)
And it's never too late to run games! I really need more new games to do. When were you thinking of doing these? At weekly meetings or during a weekday? _________________ The face is cute...the mind is evil ^-^ |

I've currently got Tom and Sarah signed up, so I would be looking at two or three more people. I would be looking at running it on the 4th weekend of every month, either during AGS or afterwards. Perhaps both depending on how the session goes/overruns. I would have no issue with a one-off "cameo" appearance - you could decide whether you wished to keep playing or wander off
I'm happy to accept Stibby, shadebug and yotsuba as the rest of my group. Could you e-mail me at tenakareya@gmail.com with contact details as I will need to do a bit of set-up before the game
P.S. - Your names would also be cool Other than Stibby. I have him on facebook |
